I don't normally do nude makeup - I'm kind of a black eyeliner and red lipstick girl. For my BFF Sarah's birthday she asked me to get her some makeup because she doesn't own any (also a present for me). Whilst I was buying for her, I also had to pop some things into my basket! I branched out and bought nude products!
First up is my new MAC Studio Fix fluid. I got colour matched when I was in Southampton last week and I was told I was NW13 (neutral warm - pale, pink toned) and a warm toned MAC Pro Longwear concealer. It was a revelation - most foundations and concealers have gone orange on me over time and I didn't realise it was because orange-toned ones are NC (neutral cool).
I then used my new Rimmel London lipstick by Kate in nude no 43 over my favourite lipliner at the moment - Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Pillowtalk (I want the matching lippie now!)
I never do eyeshadow - to be honest I'm quite scared of it! I just don't have the confidence or patience for all that blending. However when I was in Superdrug I saw the Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 palette (the one which is a dupe for the Naked 2 palette) and I was drawn in by the rose gold tones and the £4 price tag! I'll show you the palette in another post. I loved the rosey colours but still had to stick on my classic eyeliner (MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack which I'm really impressed by, but it's much softer in texture than Shade). Old habits die hard. I topped it with Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes which I haven't been impressed by at all - it flakes and smudges terribly, but for the price I feel I have to use it all up. It's a great mascara, but doesn't last the whole day without melting.
Finally I curled my hair with my Lee Stafford Chopstick Curler which I still love! It's so much fun having crazy curls
