Your Wish Granted

I'm so lucky! When I got back from holiday last weekend, I discovered that I was visited by the Fairy Hobmother from Appliances Online!

I commented on Lady of the Lane's post where she was visited from the Fairy Hobmother. I said "Completely adult and boringly - I'd wish for an oven! I'm buying my first ever house with the boyfriend and we need a new kitchen and an oven to go in it so we can eat!"

Well the Fairy Hobmother's funds aren't infinite but she saw my posts on my house blog www.laurenmakesahome.blogspot.com (if you want to see photos of my house and hear about the story so far) and thought this hamper gift would be perfect for my first home...

Eek! Aren't I lucky! This kit is the perfect housewarming present!

Now it's my chance to pass the love on... if you leave a comment below with your wish and someone may get lucky and their wish may come true. Just let us know what your dream wish would be and the Fairy Hobmother will be flitting by soon to grant some wishes!

  1. How lovely, what a sweet prize too!

My bf and I just moved in together last month and are struggling for storage space - my shoes come first! I'd love a nice chest of drawers or a rustic-style trunk so that we can finally finish packing our boxes away as they're driving me mad now!

  2. Oh Lauren, I'm so jealous! This is fantastic and I'm desperate for the fairy godmother to notice me!

I've realised I have a serious lack of hobbies, so my wish would be a Diana F+ camera and perhaps a book or two to get me up to speed with how to take good photos.

    Fingers crossed!

That or, I would like to be able to treat my family. We've been going through a rough time, in terms of money, so would love to put a smile on their faces :)

  4. That's such a nice gesture! Looking forward to having a look at your other blog :)

I think I'd wish for a breadmaker because I've always wanted one but since all my money ends up on bills it's a bit unnecessary to buy at the moment!

I'd wish for a breadmaker - I've always wanted one but since all my money goes on bills it's not entirely necessary to buy at the moment. I'd love to be able to make my own bread, makes me hungry just thinking about it!

  7. What an awesome hapmer!

My fiance and I have plans to move out soon too and get the first place "just the two of us" - very exciting!

Most of the places we have found have been unfurnished so we are going to need to do some shopping (charity shops & car boots are first stops!)

I/we would love a nice rug! We have a feeling the first few weeks are going to be beanbags and the such like until we can get our hands on proper seating... at least a rug would provide a bit of extra comfort and brighten the place up!

  9. Lovely hamper - lucky you x

I would love one of them electric mixer bowls that you see on all the cooking shows, especially Nigella Lawson's. My hubbie and me have recently moved in with my mum due to unforseen circumstances and baking cupcakes etc is definitely taking my mind off things.

  10. I moved into my flat about 7 months ago, and I still haven't managed to get myself a chest of drawers, which is so frustrating, because I have no storage space at all, so I have clothes all over the place, which drives me bonkers! I don't even have room for a wardrobe, so a nice chest of drawers would be lovely :)

  13. Glad you got such a great surprise :)

My boyfriend has just moved away for a years postgrad at university. For the first time in our 5 years together he is no longer just 5 minutes away so i'm having to cart a lot of things for weekends at his house so i'd love something to transport my make up in - my current make up bag is falling apart :(

  15. I love the idea of the Fairy Hobmother! Possibly the best type of fairy there is :)

I would wish for some new trainers as I really need a decent pair that support my feet so I can concentrate on getting fit and losing some weight. My current pair are so old and make my feet ache - haven't bought a new pair as we recently bought a house too so cash is pretty much accounted for with housey things!

Congrats on the new place lovely xxxx
