FBFF - Outside Influences

There are so many things which influence us every day. This week's FBFF (Fashion Beauty Friend Friday) questions are asking bloggers who or what influences them.

1. What magazines do you subscribe to?

I don't subscribe to any magazines, but I regularly buy Elle magazine after the suggestion of some very clever twitter folk. Elle is amazing, all about fashion and proper interviews but without the diet tips and celeb gossip other magazines have.

2. Do you watch any fashion TV shows?

No! I'm not sure that there are any?

3. Beyond blogs, what websites do you frequent for fashion inspiration?

I love street style and seeing who looks trendy and amazing and taking elements, and I like looking at shops' look books - especially Zara's which is easy to pick up in store too and has some very inspiring images.

4. Advertisements play a huge role in forming public opinion about aproduct or brand… what ads do you like and why?

I'm not sure. I don't think I take much notice of adverts unless I dislike them. I definitely dislike perfume adverts on the whole, they're usually ridiculous. Especially that Calvin Klein one for beauty perfume!

5. Do you own any fashion books?

Nope, I'm a terrible fashionista but I think fashion is so "in the moment" then having a book would quickly become dated. Also I'm a huge advocate of fashion being individual and not set by a script. I'd really like a book about the history of fashion because I find that very interesting - especially some of the odd fashions of the Victorian era so that'd be good!

  1. I adore Elle, you really should subscribe - not only is it cheaper but you get freebies for signing up, it's delivered free BEFORE it's available in the shops, and the covers are different limited edition versions!

  6. Like painting an accent wall painting kitchen cabinets can rapidly provide some of the more frequently used rooms in your house new life. Pick a shade and pick up a brush.
This low-cost idea for decorating takes a little time and creativity as well as powerful muscles. Select a room, and make it appear brand fresh by arranging the furniture to a different arrangement.
