Heat Holders Socks Review

As a fashion and beauty blogger, this blog post it completely off-topic for me, but I'm going to talk about thermal socks!

When I was offered some pairs of these for my giveaway, they also threw in a pair for me and my dad which was really exciting! You see, my Dad suffers from Raynauld's Syndrome - where your extremities become very cold and the circulation cuts off. It gets very painful for him. I also get a very mild version in my feet where my toes and sometimes heels go numb when it's cold. It's not much fun and hurts when you warm up again!

I was sent these knee-high purple ones

So what's so special about the Heat Holders? Well not only are they 2.34 on the tog rating system (like your duvet!) but also...

which mean the insides look like this:

Fluffy! I love this close up picture - it looks like modern art!

Now typically I got these around the time of "the hottest day of the year so far" so I haven't actually worn them outdoors yet! However I have worn them when babysitting recently rather than slippers and can confirm they are toasty warm and very soft and cosy! I really loved them! My only thoughts are that they are quite bulky so you couldn't really wear these with little shoes or trainers, but they are fab for wearing inside your wellies, knee boots or uggs. If you want a review from someone more outdoorsey than me though, check  out their testimonials page - seems people who do more serious outdoors activity than babysitting really love them! My dad has also commented that his are being put to very good use on his cycle to work and so far it's only his fingers that are suffering! Maybe Heat Holders should branch out into gloves...

If you want a pair of Heat Holders, they are available from here starting at £7.99 and come in Men's, Women's and Children's sizes.

  1. Ohhh I'm sure I got a few of these for people at Christmas. My mum suffers from Raynauld's too, so I'm really hoping they start doing gloves!
